Ingredients

  • 3 apples, cored, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 sweet potato, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
  • Water

 

  1. Add: In a medium saucepan, bring 2 inches of water to a boil. In a steamer basket, add in all of the ingredients, place basket over boiling water and cover.
  2. Cook: Steam for 10-12 minutes or until all ingredients are tender. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Reserve steamer water.
  3. Transfer: Transfer all ingredients into a blender or food processor.
  4. Puree: Blend on high for 1-2 minutes. Add the reserved steamer water, breast milk or formula, in 1/4 cup increments, to get puree to the right consistency. I had to add 3/4 cup of water to the puree above.
  5. Eat: Serve to your baby or freeze for later.
  1. Add: Add 1L of water into TM bowl. Place ingredients in steamer basket and then place into the TM bowl.
  2. Cook: Steam for 20 minutes/100 degrees/speed 1. Steam for longer if needed.
  3. Puree: Blend for 20 seconds/speed 8 (choose pulse & a shorter time for a chunkier puree)
  4. Eat: Serve to your baby or freeze for later.

We will only be able to do 1-2 apples at a time using this cooking style

  1. Add: Place some pieces into simmer basket.
  2. Cook: Cook for 16 minutes on the steam setting.
  3. Puree: Keep water in the bottom, you can drain a slight amount out if needed.
    • Tip ingredients into the blender cup with water and blend for 15-20 seconds.
  4. Eat: Serve to your baby or freeze for later.
